For Labor Day 2019, thousands marched across Berlin to demonstrate against rising housing prices, gentrification and a capitalistic city management.
The first march I covered took place in Grunewald, a posh district of the capital. The atmosphere was family-friendly, colorful and not very enthusiastic.
The second one took the streets in Friedrichshain, and was organized by revolutionary, antifascist and anti-capitalist groups.
